On 25 July, the European Commission adopted the 2017 work programme of the European Research Council (ERC), which includes the calendar, budget and most relevant information about the ERC 2017 calls for proposals. 

These are the three main calls: Starting grants, Consolidator grants and Advanced grants.

Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) is working with the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) and Innovate UK to organize a brokerage, matchmaking and information event. The event is focusing on opportunities within Horizon 2020 for businesses making the transition to a circular economy and becoming more resource efficient.
The event is taking place during the International Festival for Business 2016 in Liverpool.

On 26 November 2015, the Commission organises a new Horizon 2020 coordinators’ day. About 500 coordinators of ongoing Horizon 2020 projects will be invited to Brussels to receive detailed information and guidance about project reporting, payments and amendments (see preliminary agenda). This meeting can be also followed remotely via live stream (no need to register).

The European Commission runs the third edition of the EU Prize for Women Innovators to reward three women who have achieved outstanding innovations and brought them to market. The prize aims to raise awareness of the need for more female entrepreneurs and to inspire other women to follow in their footsteps.
